Vallter 2000
Ski resort, opened in 1975, is located between mountains exceeding 2,800 meters in altitude. Its base is at 2,000 meters and during the winter it allows the practice of the following sports and activities:
- Alpine skiing, on the central slopes
- Climbing with mountain skis in the Xalet area
- Snowboard
- Freeride
- Snow rackets
- Snowfields
- Snow workshops
- Sled or tubby descent
This station is near the sea, which means that the east storms leave snow depths that can exceed one meter in height.
Vallter 2000 has 11 ski lifts:
- 2 Chairlifts
- 5 Ski lifts
- 3 Conveyor belts
- 1 Draglift
The different offers in services allow you to enjoy a quiet and pleasant day of skiing in Vallter. Some examples are: ski cabinets and luggage storage at the foot of slopes, sale of ski passes, sports shop opened both in winter and summer season, medical center with qualified staff, free parking areas and for subscribers, school skiing with more than 40 certified teachers, etc.
In the spring and summer season you can also continue enjoying these areas with increasingly well-known races such as the Ultra-Trail Ulldeter or the Race 'la Marrana'. In addition, during the summer the ski lift of the station is still operational and allows you to climb up to the new viewpoint called "The Balcony of the Costa Brava". Its privileged location allows you to contemplate a unique and exceptional panorama, from the 2,535 meters, where you can see the Roses bay and Cap de Creus (Costa Brava).
